Qibla Direction

Find which way the Kaaba is from wherever you are. Use GPS or pick a city.

Find the Qibla

We use your location to work out which way the Kaaba is. Or just pick a city.

or

How this works

  • Your location gives us a line straight to the Kaaba.
  • The arrow points along that line — gold tip is the direction.
  • Spin around until the arrow points up. That's the Qibla.
  • On a phone, the arrow moves as you turn the device.
  • Your location stays on your phone. Nothing is sent anywhere.

Find the direction of the Qibla from wherever you are. Use your device's GPS and compass for a live pointing arrow, or fall back to manual city selection when sensors are unavailable.

How to use it

  1. Allow location access so the tool can find your position, or select your city manually.
  2. Hold your phone flat and wait for the compass to calibrate.
  3. Follow the arrow or the marked degrees toward the Kaaba.
  4. Recheck the direction whenever you change position or location.

Key features

  • Live Qibla direction using GPS and device compass
  • Manual city fallback for devices without sensors
  • Clear arrow and degree readout toward the Kaaba
  • Works worldwide with no configuration

Frequently asked questions

Why is my arrow pointing the wrong way?

Digital compasses need calibration. Move your phone in a figure-eight motion away from metal and magnets, hold it flat rather than upright, and the arrow will align correctly.

Can I use it without GPS?

Yes. If location access is denied or unavailable, choose your city manually and the direction is calculated from that position.

How accurate is the calculated direction?

The great-circle bearing to the Kaaba is calculated precisely from your coordinates. Remaining error usually comes from compass calibration, not the calculation.
